Each day brings a new theme — from tide pool explorations and ocean-inspired art to eco-discovery walks and rhythms of the sea — designed to spark curiosity and nurture mindfulness in young learners.

Now open for bookings throughout November!

Location: Panglao Island, Philippines

Time: 9:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. daily
Daily Routine Overview
9:00–9:30: Yoga & Mindfulness (gentle beach yoga, grounding, breathing)
9:30–9:45: Story or Nature Connection Circle (a story, poem, or reflection connected to the day’s theme)

9:45–12:00: Main Themed Exploration or Creative Activity 12:00–12:30: Reflection Circle / Journaling / Song

Monday – “Tide Pool Explorers”
Focus: Observation, wonder, and ecosystems

Story Suggestion: The Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson or a local ocean folklore tale

Main Activity:
Explore shallow water pools along the shore.
Observe what thrives there (tiny crabs, snails, algae, anemones).
Collect safe natural materials (driftwood, coral bits, shells).
Create mini tide pools in small basins or sand hollows, adding water and natural finds to recreate a living micro-ecosystem.

Reflection:
“What did you notice living between land and sea?”
Sketch or describe your tide pool.

Tuesday – “Artists of the Ocean”
Focus: Creativity through natural materials, beauty in nature

Story Suggestion: Somebody Swallowed Stanley by Sarah Roberts (ties art to ocean care)
 Main Activity:
Create large-scale sand art mosaics using shells, coral fragments, pebbles, and seaweed. Work in small groups to design “messages from the sea” — patterns, animals, or mandalas.
Extension: Discuss patterns in nature (symmetry, spirals, repetition).

Reflection:
Photograph artworks before the tide reclaims them. Circle reflection on impermanence and cycles in nature.

Wednesday – “Beachcomber’s Treasures”
Focus: Exploration, classification, and eco-awareness

Story Suggestion: Flotsam by David Wiesner (wordless picture book great for imagination)
 Main Activity:
Guided beach combing walk — look for natural objects and human-made items.
Sort finds into “natural” and “human-made.”

Discuss how long things take to decompose.
Create a “Beach Museum” or “Eco Display” with labeled items (can be photographed instead of taken).

Reflection:
“What belongs to the sea and what doesn’t?”
Group brainstorm: how can we help protect beaches?

Thursday – “Gardens by the Sea”
Focus: Ecology, connection between land and ocean, sustainability

Story Suggestion: The Curious Garden by Peter Brown

Main Activity:
Learn about coastal plants and how they protect the shoreline.
Create mini permaculture gardens using beach sand, soil, and found organic materials. Plant seedlings in upcycled containers or coconuts.

Discuss water cycles and how nutrients flow from land to sea.
 Reflection:
“How do plants help keep the beach and ocean healthy?” Gentle gratitude circle for the earth.

Friday – “Ocean Rhythms and Night Sky Magic”
Focus: Music, movement, rhythm of nature, and celebration

Story Suggestion: A short ocean myth or a local Visayan sea legend

Main Activity:
Explore rhythm and sound inspired by the sea — body percussion, found-object instruments (shell shakers, driftwood drums).
Create a group “Ocean Orchestra” or Ukulele Jam with ocean-inspired sounds.
Simple choreography or movement piece: “The Tide Dance.”

Closing Circle:
Reflect on the week: “What did the ocean teach us?”
Gratitude song or mindful sharing.
